Extensive beaches for diving. El Mojón beach, Torre Derribada, separated by the breakwater of the port, the Beaches of La Llana composed by Las Salinas beach, Barraca Quemada and Punta de Algas.
All of them located in the Regional Park “Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro”. They are open and deep, with dunes of thin sand and warm waters, very Mediterranean and solitary, even in summer.

Comfortable paths ready for walking or cycling, cross and surrond the Park, giving the visitor an opportunity to appreciate one of the most interesting ecosystems in the Region of Murcia.

Mar Menor is the ideal platform to practise all kinds of nautical sports, its waters are calm but with reliable gusts of wind; the shallow water, a gentle annual average temperature and more than 70 kilometers of coast that always protect the land, convert it into the best school to learn and practise sailing and canoeing.
Windsurf lovers will find in La Mota Beach a completely natural course for speed, taking advantage of the winds without running risks.
Throughout the year, early in the morning, Mar Menor is a mirror and canoeing is an amusing and safe adventure for any age.
The seabed offers divers a surprising encounter with attractive sands and the remains of Roman shipwrecks.
The Marinas, on the Mediterranean and on the Mar Menor organize activities throughout the year.
What’s on offer in the town is completed with a series of private and public sport centers endowed with pools, tennis courts, paddle, squash, handball, football, gyms, etc..

Mud is famous for beauty and its curative action, the mire pond composition assures the best virtues for those who cover their body with it. The mires of Las Salinas, are the fulfillment fruit of the action of the sun and highly saline waters of Mar Menor for centuries. The result is a mud, that applied to the skin, has a great therapeutic value for all types of affections: rheumatism, arthritis, gout, skin disorders, rehabilitation after bone fractures …
The ideal complement is to bath in these mineralised waters of Mar Menor.

This natural environment, unique in Europe, also enjoys an excellent climate through out the year, with more than 300 days of sunshine per annum and an average Winter temperature of 17º and Summer 26º.
It is for this conditions that it always seems like Spring.
The cuisine is varied and tasty.
The best known dish is “El Caldero”, rice cooked in a recipient of fused iron, following the tradition of men of the sea.
And the salted fish food: sea delights, made by man for millennia. Earth and Sea are joined in the gastronomy of San Pedro del Pinatar, with fantastic products of the kitchen garden, Mar Menor and Mediterranean.
Tuna fillet, Dry tunafish, Fish roe, Dorade, Mullet, Royal Mullet, Galupe, Mar Menor Prawns, Zarangollo, Lettuce hearts, tender Beans, Black Sausages, Morcón and Dry Sausage among others.
And to sweeten the palate, melon, figs, Cierva cake, a portion of Tocino de cielo (egg cake) and cordial (almond biscuit).
